Wycombe Wanderers face Rotherham United at the New York Stadium on Monday as they go head to head in the Championship.
Tom Pearce, Wyc Picks predictor (@tompearce97)
This will be the 19th meeting between the two sides, with the first coming in 1995 in which Rotherham came out 2-0 winners.
Wycombe have a decent record against The Millers, losing just one of their last 10 games against them.
That one loss came in the reverse fixture, with Rotherham coming out 1-0 winners.
Here’s a lowdown on our opponents:
Rotherham’s Season So Far
Both sides came up to the Championship together, being two of the teams promoted from League One last season.
Rotherham have been a bit of a yo-yo club in recent years so would have been happy with just staying in the league.
That is of course still a possibility with their games in hand over their relegation rivals.
They have spent most of the season in those bottom three spots, as they entered the new year just one place above Wycombe.
They’ve not been too bad going forward considering their league position, it has just been their defence that has let them down.
Key Player – Michael Smith
Smith has been an important man for Rotherham this season, and is currently their top goalscorer.
He has featured on 32 occasions in his preferred position up top. These are some of his key stats of the season:
Goals – 9
Assists – 3
Shots Per Game – 2
Aerials Won Per Game – 6.6
MoTM – 4
WhoScored Season Rating – 6.94
Strengths – Aerial duels, set piece threat
